2021

  • Kompass Ensemble premiered ... und das ist nur der Anfang ... in Freiburg, Germany.

  • Jökla Ensemble premiered Draumsýn in Hannesarholt, Reykjavík. The piece was written with a support from RÚV/STEF Composer‘s Fund.

  • Participation in the Oregon Bach Festival Composer Symposium Daniel De Togni premiered Underneath for shakuhachi. Workshop in writing for voice with soprano and Grammy winner Estelí Gomez. The piece Skógur for voice and piano was created. Workshop on a new piece for piano 4 hands with 4x5 Duo. The piece Seeking harmony was created.

  • Orquestra Filarmônica da UFPR performed Aurora at the Simpósio Internacional de Musica Nova in Curitiba, Brazil.

2020

  • Reka for solo piano was recorded by the pianist Sequoia and published among other short piano pieces on David Bruce‘s Youtube Channel.

2019

  • Iceland Symphony Orchestra recorded Strokkur for large orchestra. Bjarni Frímann Bjarnason conducted.

  • Kammerkór Suðurlands premiered two short choir pieces, Andartak and Vorkoman, at a song festival in Hafnarfjörður.

  • Participation in the Musiikin Aika festival in Viitasaari in Finland. Composition course with Kaija Saariaho. Workshop and premiere of Stuðlagil by Uusinta Ensemble.

2018

  • Iceland Symphony Orchestra premiered Akvocirkulado at Dark Musik Days in Reykjavík. Daníel Bjarnason conducted.

  • Grímur Helgason (cl) and Örvar E. Árnason (perc) performed Næturljóð for clarinet and percussion at the Sælugaukur music festival in Þingvellir, Iceland.

  • Elja Ensemble premiered Aurora in Tjarnarbíó, Reykjavík.

  • Sjøforsvarets musikkorps performed Svartifoss at the Bergen Cathedral. The concert was a part of the Ung Nordisk Musik festival.

2017

  • YRKJA III. Workshop with Daníel Bjarnason and the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra piece Akvocirkulado was created.

2016

  • Score Collective premiered Svartifoss for large ensemble, at the Amsterdam Conservatory. Later in the same festival I premiered my own piano piece, Fylgjur II, at Orgelpark. Both concerts were part of the Composer‘s Festival in Amsterdam.

2015

  • My sister, Vilborg Magnúsdóttir, premiered Áfangar, for violin, at her graduation concert from Tónlistarskólinn í Reykjavík.

  • Workshop and recording of my first orchestral piece, Strokkur, with Ed Spanjaard and the CvA Symphony Orchestra.

  • Ross Luescher premiered Spring Variations, for organ, in Orgelpark. The concert was a part of the Composer‘s Festival in Amsterdam.

  • Score Collective premiered Ódáðahraun in Bernard Haitinkzaal at the Amsterdam Conservatory. A few weeks later they performed the piece again in TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht.
